Fluke are a UK band that have been making electronic music for almost 20 years. They formed in the late 1980s and the original line-up consisted of Jon Fugler, Mike Tournier and Mike Bryant.
Their first single was released as a white label and was called “Island Life”, but failed to attract much, if any, interest. They continued to write music and released two further white labels – “Thumper” and “Joni/Taxi”. The buzz surrounding these singles got the band a record deal with Creation Records.
In 1991 they released their first album, “The Techno Rose Of Blighty”, and the single “The Bells”, after which they abandoned their deal with Creation and signed up with Virgin offshoot
Circa Records.
